Online Safeguarding Training for Registered Charities in the United Kingdom

This page details the courses required both in order to comply with Charity Commission or Regulator standards. All SAFE's courses are interactive and take around an hour to complete. Students need not complete the training in a single sitting and can take their training in bite-sized chunks. All courses provide a personalised certificate upon successful completion and certificates can be downloaded and printed at any time. Certificates remain valid for two years.

Standard Child Safeguarding - suitable for Trustees, All Staff & Volunteers

Course Overview

This course is essential for all those charities whose trustees, employees and volunteers work directly with children, young people or their families. Compliant with the latest legislation, government guidance and with direct links to your local Safeguarding Children Board or local equivalent, this course covers everything workers need to know about what might concern them, how to respond to concerns appropriately and consider safer working practice. Modules include:

Leading on Child Safeguarding - suitable for Trustees, Designated Leads & Deputies

Course Overview

This course is specifically developed for trustees, designated child safeguarding leads and deputies. It is compliant with the latest legislation and government guidance. The course includes links to your local Safeguarding Children Board. It also covers the key aspects of managing safeguarding arrangements, including child protection and other vital policies, identifying concerns and making referrals, handling allegations and complaints and eSafety. Completion of the SAFEcic Standard Child Protection course (or equivalent) is a pre-requisite.

 

Standard Adult Safeguarding -suitable for Trustees, All Staff & Volunteers

Course Overview

This Standard Adult Safeguarding course - also known as Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) or Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA), is essential learning for all those charities whose work directly engages with vulnerable adults or their families. Compliant with the latest legislation, government guidance and including links to your local Adult Safeguarding Board, this online e-learning course covers everything staff need to know about what might concern them, how to respond to concerns appropriately and what to consider in adopting safer working practice. The training also meets the requirements of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) The course covers:

International Child Safeguarding Course suitable for all staff & volunteers working overseas

Course Overview

This course is a must for all organisations and individuals who work across the globe, especially in countries where safeguarding training is difficult to access. It is especially relevant for international schools and colleges, faith groups, charities and aid relief providers. The course is ideal for anyone who provides services, funding and supplies to; or works directly, or has contact, with children, young people and/or their families. Developed by our in-house team of experts who have provided face to face training across the Middle East and Europe, it aims to promote the best, and universally accepted, possible working practices.
