Safeguarding for Dental Care Professionals
SAFE provides on site face to face safeguarding training at locations all around the country via our network of strategically located training experts. All of our trainers are experienced professionals carefully selected from specialist areas such as the police, social care services & education and are all safeguarding practitioners and experts in their respective fields. This wealth of experience and knowledge allows them to introduce real-life scenarios and issues of safeguarding best practice as a means of reinforcing the learning.
How Long Does Safeguarding Training Take?
The standard face to face safeguarding training takes between 3 and 4 hours at your location and is limited to a maximum of 30 personnel in a single setting. Clients can choose to add on the lead and deputy training for two people immediately following the session and this will add a further 90 minutes to the training. We can also complete training in an extended lunch session of 2 hours if required!
What Will we Learn About Child Protection and Safeguarding?
The course is aimed at all those who work or volunteer directly with children, young people, and/or their families. It is carefully designed to ensure your staff know everything they need to from having a concern, confidentiality, recording and referring to your senior leads for safeguarding. It complies with the latest staff training standards for CQC.

All participants receive a high-quality comprehensive training pack, verifiable hours of CPD for the duration of the training and a SAFE Certificate, valid for 3 years.
How Much Does Safeguarding Training Cost?
Standard Child Safeguarding.
Standard child safeguarding training for 1 - 10 delegates is charged at £349, from 11-20 delegates at £449 and for 21-30 delegates at £549 (all plus travel expenses). Training takes between 3 and 4 hours to complete. All participants receive a high-quality comprehensive training pack, verifiable CPD and a SAFE Certificate, valid for 3 years.
Standard Child Safeguarding combined with Standard Adult Safeguarding.
If you also treat adult patients you will additionally require standard adult safeguarding training. Should you wish to extend the morning session to train the same staff in standard adult safeguarding during the afternoon (adding a further 1-2 hours) for a total of £399 from 1 to 10 delegates, £499 for between 11 and 20 delegates and £599 from 21-30 delegates (all plus travel expenses). All participants receive a high-quality comprehensive training pack, verifiable CPD and a SAFE Certificate, valid for 3 years.
Lead & Deputy Training in Child Safeguarding (standard child safeguarding training is a prerequisite)
Lead and deputy training covers the responsibilities of personnel adopting the role of safeguarding lead or deputy for their organisation. The training takes around 2 hours to complete. The charge for this as a standalone face to face course is £349 plus expenses. Alternatively the course can be taken as an extension to the standard safeguarding training day at an additional £50. All participants receive a high-quality comprehensive training pack, verifiable CPD and a SAFE Certificate, valid for 3 years. If your Lead and Deputy have already completed the Standard Child Safeguarding training they can take the lead training online for £25.
